Word on the Street
This commonly used phrase refers to when you’ve heard about something through someone else or it is the main conservation amongst your friends.
Well since I’ve been applying to physical therapy programs I find it easier to talk about my journey to any and everyone. I’ve always been that person that is scared to talk about what their journey is because of my fear of rejection but I’ve learned that sharing has a better outcome. The more people that know about what I’m trying to do the more motivated I am to achieve it. For instance, I work as a rehabilitation aide and I talk about it with the Physical Therapist and the patients and on a day to day basis the patients have been able to: provide me with information about the school, connect me with someone they know in admissions or that attends the school and most importantly support me. I’m extremely blessed to have an astonishing support system that is beyond proud of the progress I’ve made thus far. Never stop talking about what you plan to do!
