Priorities
I’ve always had a problem with impulsive shopping. I recently trained myself to ask myself two questions before I decide to buy anything.
Do I need it? or Do I want it?
Seems simple right? I should be able to decipher between a need and a necessity? Well, it’s easier said than done.
Applying to the Doctor of Physical Therapy program is no joke! I’ve realized along the way that I had to make this my top priority. It was a necessity to pay and handle everything for school before anything else in my life.
So that meant:
cutting back on spending for social events
no more eating out as much
no impulse shopping
no lipstick >.<
The truth is I had to make serious financial adjustments in order to apply to school. From the months of January – June I was able to save money from working.
I focused more on:
Reading
Meditating
Writing
Crochet ( I learned how to crochet yarn)
Working out
Message: No one knows you like yourself. As you embark on this long journey to physical therapy school ask yourself what are you willing to give up along the way to make this dream a reality?
