Road to interview (Part I)
That one time I traveled from Chicago to Alabama for an interview.
Today’s day one of this 17hr road trip to my interview and boy has it started off on the wrong track. Everything was going fine I had a sit to myself until the last min a gentleman twice my size decides to sit next to me. I guess I have that inviting face that people feel inclined to sit next to me ( I should've put my bag in the seat next to me). Now all I can think about is where is he getting off at because if it's not until my terminal I don't think I can make it. I’m already confined to a small window sit but on top of that, I don't have a full seat because his elbows take up my side as well. On top of all that he has the nerve to be the loudest snore, I’ve ever heard in my life. Ohh I forgot to mention that we’re in traffic now….
Well my obnoxious neighbor got off in Indianapolis so for the rest of the trip I had both seats to myself !
On another note, my bus was supposed to get in at 3:45 am (the morning off my interview) we didn't make it until 5:30 am *sighs* so yea you guessed it I was in a complete panic mood. Then to top it off my Uber app would not allow me to request a ride, so I re downloaded Lyft, and thank God I was able to get a ride (which cost 20.00 to drive me 10mins away from my location).
I made it to my hotel at 6 am for the front desk to tell me that they canceled my reservation because I wasn't there by 3:45 am….I patiently explained my situation to the young lady and was able to get a room.
6:00 am *walks into room* only one hour to shower, iron, get dressed, eat and head out the door.
Wish me luck!
